Count yourself blessed!

Got any older people who are elders in your life?

I remember when I was a kid having elderly people around to love on you, give you advice, cheer you up, then slip you a dollar and a peppermint in Church. Those years bring back such good memories! Now, I’m not talking about the people who hung around your parents, that lot spanked first and asked questions later. I used to hate to see them coming!

Young people really need guidance from older people. If it’s asked for, be the cool Elder, but help them out.

Many of us are in the age group now where we have lost the best parents and grandparents, count yourself blessed if you still have them around. And if you don’t have that kind of relationship with your parents, make it a point to break generational curses and BE the kind of parent you and sometimes your friends needed as you aged. #BeEncouragedTAL
